PDS Tech is currently recruiting for an Expeditor, Material Control Coordinator in Greensboro, NC!

General Summary:
The Expediter is responsible for ensuring the on-time delivery of assigned materials
and/or services from approved and qualified suppliers in support of aircraft
manufacturing demand requirements. The primary function of the Expediter role is to
liaise with Manufacturing, Quality, Customer Service and Procurement on Supplier
material delivery commitments. Resolve goods receipt issues with appropriate
individuals. Manage return of non-conforming materials.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Supports supply chain team to achieve business requirements and ensure
  • compliance with company’s procurement policies
  • Communicates purchased supply requirements, purchase order changes, purchase
  • order prioritization, and manages supplier execution in alignment with these
  • requirements
  • Edits purchase orders as required to support production needs and/or supplier
  • delivery commitments
  • Supports expedited outside vendor processing and onsite supplier rework activities
  • Documents and communicates purchase order status and projected fulfillment
  • across internal organizations
  • Develop, manage, and communicate Line of Balance for critical parts
  • Escalates unresolved supply disconnects or shortages to assigned Buyer for
  • additional support
  • Resolves incoming Certificate of Conformance and invoicing discrepancies
  • Manages and resolves receiving discrepancies (RD)
  • Supports and resolves quality notifications (QN)
  • Manages the return of nonconforming product
  • Primary procurement contact for material control team
  • Serves as primary contact between Procurement, MRP, CS and the Production
  • Floor in relation to parts shortages and movement
  • Runs and manages the daily shortage meeting for SCM
  • Assists other procurement staff with identified projects and programs as required

Education, Work Experience, Certification and/or Licensure:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Engineering preferred or equivalent Supply Chain experience within the aviation/aerospace manufacturing industry and a HS Diploma/GED
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Working knowledge and a thorough understanding of Material Resource Planning,
  • procurement, and manufacturing processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
  • Previous experience and/or proficiency in using ERP systems; SAP preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, deadline-oriented environment, while
  • simultaneously managing multiple high-priority initiatives.
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate with all levels of
  • internal customers.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for building relationships with suppliers and all levels of
  • company personnel.
  • Ability to work independently and within a cross-functional team oriented
  • environment.
  • Ability to research, analyze data, and clearly/concisely present conclusions.
  • Some travel may be required.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to withstand exposure to equipment operational noise heat-cold-dust,
  • and/or aircraft equipment, parts, or fuel odors.
  • Incumbents may be required to stand, sit, squat, walk, bend, climb ladders, move,
  • reach, or stretch for prolonged time periods with no restrictions, as required by job
  • duties.
  • Work in a safe and professional manner while adhering to all regulatory
  • requirements (FAA, OSHA, DOT, EPA, State, and Federal regulations, etc.).
  • Read, hear, speak, and see with no restrictions, as required by job duties.
  • Comprehend and adhere to management directions and/or safety instructions with
  • no restrictions.
  • Effectively communicate in Business English language.
  • Pull, push, carry, lift, or move items up to 10 lbs. throughout the work shift without
  • assistance, as required by job duties.
