Responsibilities of this role include troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative & predictive maintenance on plant equipment. Ideal candidates are self-motivated and self-directed with a passion for continuous improvement in both personnel and food safety as well as in production equipment and processes to improve production efficiencies. Great interpersonal skills are required to work effectively with operators, peers, and managers in this highly collaborative team environment. Working with gear boxes, bearings, belts, conveyors, etc.
Assess and repair equipment as problems arise for the machines and the building
Attend and participate in maintenance department and plant meetings
Assist in capital improvement projects
Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical issues
Make repairs in a timely manner while working under pressure
Assist other departments with improvement projects
6:00am to 2:30pm, MON-FRI
Knowledge and Experience
4+ years of experience in Industrial Maintenance Mechanic/Technician or related role in a manufacturing environment or equivalent combination of related experience and education
Experience maintaining hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical systems
Education and Certifications
High School diploma and continued educational credits in industrial maintenance or related field
Associate’s in Industrial Maintenance, Electro-Mechanical, or related field is preferred
Job Specific skills and abilities
Proven ability to work safely
Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic systems
Some electrical experience a plus
Flexibility in schedule to provide coverage when needed
Must have patience and perseverance and be flexible with the ability to prioritize
Ability to research and cross-reference parts
Strong organizational skills along with strong oral and written communication skills
