Our client in Orangeburg, SC has a need for a MRB Engineer. 

Support Operations to enable/improve stable production output. Accountable for delivering robust, capable rework/repair instructions, through precisely following internal and customer requirements.

Key responsibilities:
  • Responsible for submitting non-conformances to and obtaining MRB Engineering dispositions from the customer.
  • Prepare internal engineering instructions to restore the aircraft non-conformances back to meet the intent of the certified design.
  • Manages technical dispositions of non-conformities for product(s) on the production line.
  • Promote and sustain the principles of site Continuous Improvement.
  • Evaluate technical dispositions impact on production schedules, safety, quality aspects, documentation and costs/benefits involved.
Preferred Experience:
  • Knowledge of Boeing specifications/processes.
  • Working knowledge of aluminum treatment processes (forming, heat treatment, artificial age, machining, chemical processing, and primer application).
  • Aircraft operation or production line experience desired (professional levels).
  • Prior MRB authorization preferred.
  • Self-starting, detail oriented and ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret company products (e.g., analyzing and troubleshooting systems and processes).
  • Knowledge of quality processes and procedures
  • Understands governing regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Able to review 3D datasets (e.g. Computer aided design/computer aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM); computer aided three dimensional interactive (CATIA).
  • Complete knowledge of the interaction between departments/ disciplines and how their products/processes affect one another and impact non-engineering processes (e.g., Operations, Logistics, Business).
  • Proficient in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Power Point, and Access)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other relevant specialized training in addition to a minimum of two to five years of aerospace manufacturing experience.
  • A thorough knowledge of manufacturing processes, planning procedures, and engineering applications is required.  
  • Experience with specialized personal computer hardware and software applications. 
  • Experience or training in areas that involve the manufacture and assembly of composite products and tooling is desired.
