PDS Tech is seeking Instrumentation Technicians to work in Wichita, KS.
SUMMARY:
Candidates will be responsible for carrying out Instrumentation DAS (data acquisition system) installation and troubleshooting duties on experimental aircraft. Candidates will be required to perform these duties in support of new product and sustaining aircraft designs. These duties will include coordination with other Engineering and technical groups to help develop, implement, monitor and status assignments.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Candidate will plan and perform the work involved in the installation, calibration, and troubleshooting of instrumentation systems required for data acquisition on experimental aircraft.
• Candidate will be utilizing various types of specialized test equipment to troubleshoot data acquisition systems on aircraft.
• Candidate will be working independently and be responsible for good decision-making.
• Candidate will be working with all aspects of experimental aircraft design and will be required to frequently interact with engineering personnel.
Qualifications
Qualifications / Skills:
• High school diploma
• Associates Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology
REQUIRED:
• Comprehensive training and fundamental skills for hands-on electrical/mechanical troubleshooting.
• Ability to utilize computers.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings
• Read and understand electrical schematics.
• Ability to build up wire harnesses.
• Ability to install wire harnesses.
• Ability to work on an aircraft.
• Be able to articulate work-related communications properly through both written and verbal means.
• Ability to deal with change and work in a dynamic environment.
• Be able to support 1st or 2nd shift as needed to meet program objectives
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
PREFERRED:
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings
• Current, or previously attained, J-STD-001 certification or demonstrated skills in soldering and cable building
• Understand principles of electronics and have a solid understanding of voltage, current, resistance
