Job Title: Machine Assistant
 
Start Date: As soon as cleared
 
Pay: $18 - $19.50 + $2.50 Shift Differential = $20.50 - $22
 
Location: Everett, WA 98203
 
Type: Contract
 
Duration: 6 Months
 
Schedule: 2nd Shift - (4-10’s, M-Th) 4pm to 2:45 am
 
Education: High School or GED
 
Checks: Drug Screen (does NOT check for Marijuana) and Background Check.
 
Description:
Summary 
Provides assistance to the team in a fast-paced environment, keeping safety awareness at the forefront at all times. Complete a variety of tasks from start to finish with a willingness to listen and learn.
 
Essential Duties & Responsibilities include the following with other duties as assigned:
  • Under supervision operate machine tools as required.
  • Monitor quality and workmanship; verification of dimensional requirements to print.
  • Deburr production parts, saw, and various assistance as required.
  • Maintain company assets, environment, and atmosphere
  • Shop clean-up, general tasks, maintenance, assembly
Qualifications:
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty to the established department standards (i.e. meet published metrics).

Education and/or Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience using hand tools and various saws (e.g. chop, skill, band, table, etc.)
  • Minimal machining experience.
  • General mechanical ability and understanding.
  • Ability to work from both oral and written instructions.
Language Skills:
  • Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence, co-worker tie in, and direct feedback to internal/external depts.
  • Ability to effectively present/relay information in one-one and smaller group situations to other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills:
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measurements, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Understanding English and metric measurement systems and ability to convert both.
Reasoning Ability:
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or drawing form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
