PDS Tech, Inc. is seeking a Design and Analysis Engineer in Hazelwood, MO.

  • The F/A-18 Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (SEIT) team has an exciting opportunity for an Avionics Integration Engineer supporting the F/A-18 International Government Services Programs. The Avionics Integrator serves as a member of a country’s F/A-18 sustainment team consisting of a program manager, avionics integrator, air vehicle integrator, and logistics integrator. The primary role of the Avionics Integrator is to develop solutions to a variety of issues encountered during the sustainment phase of aircraft including coordinating depot repairs, coordinating engineering investigations, and managing engineering change proposals. The Avionics Integrator is the point of contact for all incoming requests from the international customers on avionics related issues.

The successful candidate must have excellent leadership, communication, organization, and critical thinking skills with a dedication to customer satisfaction.

As an Avionics Integrator, your duties will include (but are not limited to):
  • Working directly with the international customers to understand avionics hardware and software issues and to develop solutions with the support of the Functional Engineering Teams to meet or exceed international country requirements.
  • Facilitating tasking and communication between company, US Navy, and foreign military customers in support of international country F/A-18 program objectives
  • Coordinating with multi-disciplined teams, including air vehicle and logistics integrators, other engineering functions, contracts, and export control.
  • Responding to requests for proposals, technical information, and other queries.
  • Assisting in resolving problems generated during flight and maintenance operations.
  • Delivering CDRLs and other customer requirements.
  • Managing problem investigations, tracking, reporting and resolution.
  • Participating in In-Service Support Reviews (ISSRs), Technical Coordination Meetings (TCMs), and other meetings as required.

Security Clearance:
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Confidential Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (REQUIRED Skills and Experience):
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering
  • 3+ years of experience in avionics engineering
  • 3+ years of experience coordinating the operational aspects of ongoing projects, and serving as liaison between project and team, finance, planning, scheduling and management

Desired Experience, Skills, and Qualifications:
  • 3+ year of experience working with F/A-18 or other tactical aircraft mission systems
