PDS Tech is seeking candidates for a QA Batch Release Clerk position in Asheville, NC

Pay Rate: $15.00

SUMMARY

Performs various required clerical and administrative tasks that are required for the maintenance and control of Batch release to ensure compliance to the approved documented procedures.  Serves as back-up for bulk label printing.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

·          Maintains database systems for Batch Release.

 

·          Compiles supply orders for QA.

 

·          Files, retrieves files/retains, photocopies upon request.

 

·          Serves as back-up reviewer for Batch Release and IPQA as needed to maintain low WIP.

 

·          Serves as back-up for bulk label printing if needed.

 

·          Other duties as required by management.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma or GED

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, standard operating procedures, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors, customers, and the general public.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to calculate rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.  Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

 

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral diagram, or schedule form.  Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.

 

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Ability to use a PC and the following software: Microsoft Office suite, SAP and window based applications. 

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel and/or or crouch.  The employee is frequently required to walk.  The employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers, handle, feel, reach with hands and arms, as well as talk/hear/listen (communicate with others).  The employee may occasionally push/pull/lift/carry up top 25 pounds.  Vision should be correctable to 20/20.  The ability to distinguish color is required.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The employee may occasionally be exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and be exposed to fumes or airborne particles.  The noise level is moderate.

 

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPEMENT

When entering production areas, hearing protection, hair cover, gloves, approved safety shoes, respirator and safety glasses are required
