This role is intended to support development & continued improvement of company’s approved design organization (ADO). This includes ensuring alignment between overall type certification and continuing airworthiness process trees and the work of the delegated organization, as well as review of current delegated organization manual and associated processes to identify improvement areas. When improvement areas are identified, employee is expected to engage with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to enact process improvement activities, aligned to both company business needs and the primary mission of ensuring a safe and compliance product. Expected to work closely with certification management, regulatory affairs, quality assurance, design engineering, JCAB, and delegated personnel.
In this role you will:

  • Engage in continuous improvement of the ADO manual and associated compliance processes in alignment with JCAB regulations and guidance
  • Both propose and execute on process improvement opportunities
  • Align diverse stakeholders and educate impacted parties on system changes
  • As necessary, support changes to JCAB requirements to allow further system improvements

  • 10+ years of experience working in aircraft certification-related fields, preferably in a delegated organization
  • Significant experience in process development/improvement
  • Strong knowledge of global certification requirements and compliance standards
  • Experience interfacing with regulators to support certification agreements
  • Experience resolving cross-functional engineering or process issues
  • Firm understanding of authority & industry roles in rulemaking and compliance
  • Ready and excited to work dynamically in a complex environment
  • Fluent in English, with Japanese language capabilities a plus
  • Previous experience in as an aviation authority employee or delegate is beneficial
