Support the specification, development, and release to production of tooling for the manufacture, transportation or testing of aircraft parts, components or assemblies within the client's assembly line.
Receive new deliveries of tools into the receiving area
When a delivery is received, notify the appropriate J&T TTDE (Tool Technology and Development Engineer) who supported the ordering of the tool.
Support the acceptance approval process of the tool, including but not limited to the following tasks:
Support the TTDE to complete the Goods Receipt (GR) of tooling.
Verify that tool has the correct J&T labelling (equipment #, material #, HTZ, etc.). If the tool does not have the correct labelling, work with either the vendor or internal support to label the tool correctly.
Scan and upload all documentation to the Quality folder, following the established folder nomenclature and procedures.
If a load test is needed periodically on the tool, work with Tool Shop to have a load test label applied to the tool.
Prepare and send acceptance approval reports to be signed by the appropriate parties for the release of the tool.
Notify the J&T Quality Conformance Manager (QCM) when the tool is ready to be inspected.
If the J&T QCM creates NCs (non-conformities) for the tool, support the TTDE to resolve the NCs.
If a tool test is needed before release, support the organization of the test alongside the TTDE.
Request confirmation from the TTDE to deliver accepted tooling. After confirmation has been received, deliver the tooling to the Tool Shop.
Support other tasks and departments as needed.
Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements:
High School graduate with some college experience
Analytical and quantitative skills and demonstrated ability to develop strategic solutions utilizing root cause analysis.
Ability to work in Microsoft Office applications
Demonstrated effective communication skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks while dealing with a high volume of complex information and specific deadlines
Candidate must be available to work 30-40+ hours per week
Preferred: Pursuing Bachelor degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering
Working Conditions/Physical Demands:
Vision: able to see and read computer screen and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings.
Hearing: able to hear to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on production floor including safety warnings or alarms.
Speaking: able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications.
Equipment Operation (personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some tools including production tools such as hydraulic lifts.
Carrying: able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs.
Lifting: able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs.
Pushing / Pulling: able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools.
Sitting: able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on computer.
Squatting / Kneeling: able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving.
Standing: able to stand for discussions in offices or on production floor.
Travel: able to travel independently and at short notice.
Walking (include routine walking such as to a shared printer to retrieve documents): able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces.
